In the second year of the Play for Parkinson’s fall tournament series, a day was added for Division I women’s competition and you couldn’t have asked for better competition. Maryland, Duke, Georgetown, Stanford, Penn State and defending champion Northwestern took the field for three games each on Sunday.

IL’s Terry Foy and Ty Xanders were on hand at the Episcopal School in Alexandria, Va., Saturday to take in six games between some of the best teams in Division I. Scores and stats were not officially kept, so all numbers are unofficial.

Another year, another Play for Parkinson’s and ProjectSpark Foundation success. Some of the best college men’s lacrosse teams descended on Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., for a good cause and some good ole’ fashioned fall ball throwdowns.

In a rematch of the last two NCAA women’s national title games, the Maryland Terrapins beat the Northwestern Wildcats by an unofficial 12-6 score Sunday at the Play for Parkinson’s event, benefitting the ProjectSpark Foundation. Both teams played a very intense game and each was assessed a yellow card.

Play For Parkinson’s showcased a number of high quality games. In one of the matchups we saw Hopkins play G’Town. Both teams played hard til the end. Hopkins stood out with new Chrome facemasks, Carbon Vapors, Huarache 3?s, Columbia Blue shooting shirts and FLOW.

The Play For Parkinson’s Lacrosse Series showcases top NCAA lacrosse talent to benefit the ProjectSpark Foundation. Lax.com had to go down and check this awesome event out. Not only was the event a hit, raising a great deal of money to go towards research to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease, there was also some awesome lacrosse! Check out part one of this event, with games between Johns Hopkins and Penn State, and Princeton and Virginia!!
